NATASHA (“New Alternative Toward A Secure Home Atmosphere”) House, located in York County, Virginia, is the only transitional home on the Hampton Roads Peninsula that houses women with children whose only presenting problem is homelessness. NATASHA House offers effective training and mentoring programs called HomeMakers and CHAMPS that empower and equip mothers and children alike to achieve and maintain self-sufficiency. Once enrolled, the women and children are required to develop a LifeWork Plan that identifies short, intermediate, and long term career, financial, personal, and family goals that lead to their own self-sufficiency. Since opening on Labor Day in 2010, NATASHA House has housed 45 women with children. Of the 40 former residents, 31 (78%) have maintained their permanent housing, 7 remain in the HomeMakers Outreach program, and 6 have graduated the program having achieved their LifeWork goals.
make your mark of support for NATASHA House in our Path to Wholeness Campaign by purchasing a personalized
brick which will be used in the construction of a pathway and patio landing on
the property in the Spring of 2014. You can also add a personalized graphic on
the brick, including your company logo.
Your purchase of a four inch by eight inch brick for $100 or an eight inch by eight inch brick for $175 will provide lasting support to NATASHA House and the mission of its founder, Pastor Deloris Lee Borum: to empower and equip homeless women to achieve and maintain self-sufficiency.
NATASHA House is a registered 501(c)3 Non-profit organization, Federal Tax ID # 27-1871384.
