Save Willard's Clock

The Time is Now!

Willard, Ohio was originally named Chicago Junction.  In 1913 a new City Hall was erected at the corner of Myrtle Ave. and Woodland Ave.  This building was crowned with an ornate clock tower that made City Hall one of the tallest building in town.  The time chimed through the city every hour becoming part of our ancestors' daily lives.  The clock was taken down for repairs and the administrative office moved to 631 Myrtle Ave.  Sixteen years later the city Hall was razed.  The components of the clock tower were placed in storage to be resurrected at a later time.  THAT TIME IS NOW!  A committee of dedicated citizens are donating their time to raise funds to restore and rebuild the clock tower on a new site at Myrtle Ave. and Pearl St.  This tower will include a time capsule, the original clock works (motor), dial numbers and bell.
